A CYCLIST was taken to hospital after a collision with a car at a Ninth Street roundabout in Mildura on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old Mildura man was on the roundabout when the collision happened about 8.10am.
The man was taken by ambulance to hospital with minor bruising.
The 30-year-old female driver from Cabarita told police she didn’t see the cyclist when she entered the roundabout.
Police issued her an infringement notice for failing to give way at a roundabout.
Also, two male passengers were taken to hospital for observation after the car they were travelling in collided with a utility in Irymple on Monday night.
The men were being driven by a 31-year-old man from Western Australia in a car when the car and a utility collided after the utility entered Fifteenth Street about 7.16pm.
The two adults and two children in the utility and the driver of the car were not injured.
Acting Sergeant Colin Donaghy said those involved were lucky that the speed limit in the area had been reduced a few years ago following another collision.
“Thankfully, the speed limit was 60km/h because had it been 80, there could have been a fatality there,” he said.
The driver of the car was issued an infringement notice for failing to obey a stop sign.
