Shire tipped to be big winner

FUNDING for community projects, local government reform and crown lands development are tipped to be winners for south-west NSW in tomorrow’s­ state Budget.

Ahead of Treasurer Dominic Perrottet’s 2017-18 Budget, Member for Murray Adrian Piccoli said projects such as the Wentworth Area Skate Park and improvements on developing crown land could be winners for Wentworth Shire over the next year.

Mr Piccoli met with members of the Wentworth Shire Council while in town on Thursday to discuss priority projects and policies the council was looking for improvements on.
