Race to relaunch restored boat

The Dareton Men’s Shed members are racing to have their restored Hartley cabin cruiser ready for next month’s Junction Rally.

A team of five men’s shed members has worked tirelessly over the past year to get the boat ready after it was saved from an almost watery grave.

Dareton Men’s Shed member Colin Cooke, who has led the restoration, said the size of the task dawned on members when they pulled the boat from the Murray River 18 months ago.
