Violence aid goes to young

A lot of the time young people feel like they’re the only one, but unfortunately that’s not the case. Family violence can happen to anyone. - Metaxia Tsoukatos

A NEW trial to better support the community’s youngest family violence survivors will be rolled out in Mildura by the end of the year.

A demonstration project by Mallee Sexual Assault Unit and Mallee Domestic Violence Service, in partnership with Local Logic Place and Mallee Family Care, was this week named as one of 26 to receive State Government funding to respond to family violence.

The project has received $120,000 for the Mental, Emotional and Social Health (MESH) program for children and young people aged between seven and 17 who are victims of family violence.
