Police proud to fly rainbow flag

A CONCERTED effort from Victoria Police to tackle discrimination has broken down barriers between law enforcement officers and the gay and lesbian community.

The rainbow flag flew from Mildura police station for the first time yesterday as Victoria Police marked International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT).

“The police force is heavily against discrimination in our ranks or anywhere,” Sergeant Brendan Simm said.
