THE Mallee could get a downpour of up to a month’s worth of rain in 24 hours by Friday, breaking a so far dry May.
Mildura is yet to record a drop of rain this month but that is likely to change today with isolated showers developing across western Victoria.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Rod Dickson said a low pressure system was moving into the Bight yesterday.
“Mildura will probably only pick up a millimetre or so (today),” he said.
