SUNRAYSIA’s citrus industry is optimistic it will have enough labour to pick fruit this season.

Citrus Australia chair Tania Chapman said she had been told by harvest labour services provider MADEC there should be enough workers to meet the needs of the region’s growers.

Some citrus growers started picking their first navel oranges about a week ago.
