THE nation’s citrus industry is to benefit from the appointment of a new citrus research scientist at the NSW Department of Primary Industries at Dareton.

Dave Monks began his new role about a week ago.

Dr Hetherington said Dr Monks would also work in close association with important industry partners in Sunraysia and the Riverina.

“In his role, Dr Monks will be actively involved in collecting information to evaluate the agronomic performance and commercial desirability of newly introduced citrus varieties,” he said.
