THE Australian table grape industry is concerned that some growers are still sending immature fruit to China.

At the start of the season Chinese buyers were in the region offering growers $30 to $40 a box for crimson and Thompson seedless grapes.

Australian Table Grape Association CEO Jeff Scott said even though he sent emails urging growers not to fall into the temptation of harvesting fruit before maturity there were still some who ignored this advice.
