Thousands flock to Deutschfest

More than 10,000 people enjoyed a day of traditional German food and activities at Trinity Lutheran College’s annual Deutschfest.

Committee chair Andrea Robinson said crowd numbers were well up on last year and the sunny conditions had added to the success of the day.

“We couldn’t have had a better event,” she said. 

“Our children who performed traditional German dances were fantastic, they absolutely smashed it.
