A GROUP of 40 Solomon Islanders who arrived in Mildura last week have already been training for their six month posting to work on the Sunraysia citrus harvest.

The men have been recruited by citrus production company Seven Fields to pick navel oranges and mandarins.

The early varieties of navel oranges in Sunraysia are expected to be ready for picking in about a week.
