ABOUT 2000 Mildura homes and businesses were left without power yesterday afternoon as the city recorded its wettest April day so far this year.

Mildura yesterday recorded more than one-third of its April average rainfall.

The city recorded 7.6mm of rain between 9am and 5pm yesterday after the Bureau of Meteorology predicted rainfall of between 10mm and 30mm for the day.

Mildura’s average rainfall for April is 19.3mm.
