MERBEIN Football Club will be without permanent changerooms for the season, with insurance companies dragging their feet to determine whether to fix the old, severely damaged facilities, or sign off on a complete rebuild.

It took almost four months for any work to begin at Kenny Park after the roof of the changerooms was torn off in the November 11 storm.

The site resembles a small village of transportables, which includes separate home and visitors’ changerooms, toilets, showers and trainers’ rooms, which will be used for the 2017 season.
