THE Country Fire Authority (CFA) said the Easter break was “reasonably quiet” for fire crews in the Sunraysia region. 

CFA operations officer for district 18 John Breaks said crews responded to only small incidents. 

Apart from the few small fires, Mr Breaks said Mildura Fire Brigade assisted an injured skier up an embankment on the Murray River and responded to a fire at the Souvlaki Inn on Saturday night. 

“Those incidents were the only ones that stood out, it was a very quiet weekend,” he said.
