SUNRAYSIA Community Health Services (SCHS) hopes its Easter Appeal will grow to become a long-running major fundraiser after a successful campaign over the past two weeks.

The appeal began at the Cullulleraine Music Festival and the Mildura Harness Racing Cup Carnival, before volunteer tin-rattlers took to the region’s Easter events to push the campaign towards its $50,000 12-month target.

SCHS chief executive officer Simone Heald said it had been a successful weekend, with about $12,000 raised through sponsorships and donations.
