THE Wentworth Junction Junk garage sale has become a regular event on Easter Sunday for both locals and tourists to Sunraysia.

A record 29 sites set up shop in private homes and sites in the town for the event yesterday, which has been running for 16 years.

Marg Jackson from local craft and giftware shop, Ruby’s Cargo said about 270 maps were handed out to collectable enthusiasts eager to find a bargain or treasure at the garage sale.

She said people wanting to take part in the event usually lined up for maps each year, which were only available from 9am on the day of the event.
