MALLEE MP Andrew Broad says the proposed policy of allowing first home buyers to raid their superannuation is a lazy way to address housing affordability.
It comes amid divisions within the Coalition over the idea, which had support among some MPs.
Mr Broad said the policy was unlikely to be included in the May Budget with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull not on board with the idea.
But some of Mr Broad’s National Party colleagues have publicly backed the plan, including cabinet member Matt Canavan and rouge MP George Christensen.
