CHILDREN received a taste of what is to come with the Sunraysia Rugby League hosting a school holiday clinic last week.

About 20 children learnt the fundamentals of the game with NRL game development officer Henry Street hoping it will entice more under 12s to take up the sport so a junior competition can be established in the region.

“At the moment we have a strong Robinvale team but ideally we’d like to have two teams in Mildura in under 6s, 8s, 10s and 12s, so we can begin a three team competition,” Street said.
