THE Good Friday Appeal is a charity close to the heart of Sunraysia area manager Stephen Krohn.

Almost 20 years ago, Mr Krohn heard the news no parent wants to hear, his then 12-year-old daughter had been in a major car crash.

Suwahna had broken her pelvis in five places and was flown from Mildura to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.

“She was lucky to be alive, but after surgery in Mildura we knew it would be a positive outcome,” Mr Krohn said.
