TWO male youths have been arrested after a spate of motor vehicle thefts and aggravated burglaries in Mildura last week.

During their alleged crime spree between March 16 and 17, police say they broke into five properties and stole electronic items and car keys, which they then used to steal motor vehicles.

According to Mildura police, a man in Ellswood Crescent, Mildura, awoke to find an offender leaning over his bed and wearing a balaclava.

“The victim gave chase at which time he has observed a second offender standing near the front door,” acting Superintendent John Nolan said.
