The telco has revealed plans to build new mobile phone towers to cover northern parts of Mildura, as well as Nichols Point, Mildura Airport, Karadoc, Cardross, Gol Gol, Buronga and Dareton.

Optus network manager Vin Mullins said the work would improve 4G mobile coverage across Sunraysia, while additional towers along the Sturt Highway between Balranald and Hay would also boost coverage on that stretch of road.
