IT is 4½ hours that Janet Thomas wishes she could take back.
It was all the time she allowed herself to recharge the batteries before waking the next morning and getting on with the job of caring for her 19-month-old granddaughter.
And that was no easy task.
Bridgett Marie Currah was born on September 14, 2011, at the Royal Women’s Hospital with a congenital heart disease that required surgery on her fifth day of life, again at five months of age and another operation at 13 months.
