Grants preserve the history of communities

NOT-for-profit community organisations can apply for the recently released Community Heritage Grants Program.

These grants are a great opportunity for community groups such as libraries, historical societies and multicultural organisations to preserve and display important material, such as artefacts, photographs and letters.

The funding could make a significant contribution towards the preservation of our region’s history, so that it is available for future generations.

It’s about being able to tell our story – where we’ve come from, where we’ve been and we’re still yet to go.

Grants of up to $15,000 are available to not-for-profit groups to assist them in protecting significant collections and keeping the connections between their communities and their history alive.

Applications are now open and close on Monday, May 8.
