THE rate of family and domestic­ violence remains shockingly high in Mildura, prompting local police to keep it one of their “highest priorities”. 

According to the state’s crime figures, the Mildura Local Government Area (LGA) had the second highest rate of family incidents per 100,000 population in Victoria. 

The recorded 3084.5 family incidents per 100,000 population was 137.5 per cent higher than the state average (1298.9).
