Wentworth eye AFL star: Roos believe McGlynn will play games this season

WENTWORTH is hopeful of securing the services of former AFL star Ben McGlynn at some point during the SFNL season.

Roos coach Bernard Rigby said it was hoped the former Hawthorn and Sydney player, a product of Wentworth’s junior system, would join his brother and Roos assistant coach Zac at George Gordon Oval between his own coaching commitments in Melbourne.

“He’s obviously with St Kilda and he’s an assistant coach with Sandringham (in the VFL), so quite a few weekends he’ll have to go watch the Saints on a Saturday and then the VFL on Sunday,” Rigby said. 

“But he has got a handful of weekends where he is free.
