MATES have rallied around Aboriginal land rights advocate and Ngintait man Darren Perry after he was seriously injured in a car accident.
Mr Perry, who was the former chair of Murray Lower Darling Rivers Indigenous Nations, suffered serious head injuries when his car rolled while driving from Swan Hill to Geelong.
His family luckily escaped largely unscathed.
