THE workings of Murray Mallee Community Legal Service (MMCLS) highlight the growing number of family violence cases in the region.

Victoria Police data shows the rate of family violence across Mildura has grown considerably, with the past year providing almost double the number of cases as the 11 years between April 2001 and March 2012.

In the 2015-16 financial year, 176 clients were seen for intervention order support in the past year and 162 of those cases handled.
