Man trapped in bike rollover

AN injured man was trapped for two hours after a motorbike rollover at Wentworth.

The 58-year-old man was working on private property about 11.30am on Thursday last week when the motorbike he was riding turned over.

The man was injured and trapped under the vehicle for about two hours until he was found on the property. 

Police and ambulance attended the scene, with the man taken to the Mildura­­­ Base Hospital for treatment.

His injuries were believed to include fractures, but he was expected to make a full recovery.

Firearms condition breaches lead to court

FAILURE to comply with firearms licence conditions will land a 65-year-old man in court.

Police spoke to the man about 12.30pm last Thursday in relation to a number of firearms matters, before he was arrested and taken to the Dareton police station.

The man, who held a firearms licence, was charged with three counts of not keeping a firearm safe, as well as failure to notify a change of address of a firearm.

He was also charged with not having approved storage as a A/B class licence holder. 

Police seized all firearms registered to the man and he will appear before the Wentworth Local Court at a later date.
