MORE than half a million native trees planted in the Murray Sunset National Park during autumn are off to a great start after high levels of rain in winter.

In May and June this year, 500,000 native tube-stock seedlings were successfully planted across 550 hectares in the Murray Sunset National Park.

A further one million seedlings will be planted in June 2017 across 800 hectares.
