EXCEPTIONAL rain at the right time has seen some of the best crops in 30 years in Victoria’s cropping belt, prompting Agriculture Victoria to ask growers to send in their “crop selfies”.

While this time last year many growers were facing the second challenging season in a row, conditions have moved from famine to feast for some.

Third-generation Tempy grower Mike “Booza” Robertson said he had seen the region looking as good only once before during his farming career.
