EIGHT Sunraysia schools will have access to free eye testing and glasses for their students as part of a new program to be rolled out next year.

More than 30,000 Prep to Year 3 students at 250 schools across the state will be eligible to have their eyes checked and receive a free pair of glasses as part of the Victorian Government’s Glasses for Kids program.

Mildura Primary School, which was selected for the initiative, ran a similar program in 2015 with positive results, according to principal David Midgley.
