Flood peaks without incident

THE Murray River’s flood levels have peaked at Mildura and Went­worth.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the river peaked as expected at Mildura Weir at a height of 36.5 metres AHD (Australian Height Datum, the preferred measure for indicating height above sea level) on Friday.

By 7.30am yesterday it had fallen to 36.46m.

The Murray River at Lock 10 at Wentworth peaked on Saturday afternoon at 7.88m or 32.66m AHD.
