Fees force teens to drop out of school

SOME Sunraysia teens are opting to forego their senior studies due to the cost, with annual school fees often in the thousands. 

As families look to work out finances ahead of the 2017 school year, Mallee Family Care deputy executive director Fiona Harley says there are options for those struggling to make ends meet. 

Ten years ago, Chances for Children’s Keeping Kids at Secondary School Fund was established and topped up on an annual basis through a trust fund.
