BLACKWATER in the Mildura Murray River system has caused a large number of dead and dying fish to pool in Mildura marina.

A bicycle rider on a morning ride near the Dockside Drive red bridge spotted the swarm of dead bony bream, silver perch, Murray cod, and carp in the blackwater.

The rider said there were hundreds floating on the water’s surface that were spread across a distance of about 50 metres.
