WENTWORTH Shire Council has sought $1.67 million of State Government funding for high-priority repairs to Arumpo Road, which leads to Lake Mungo.
It was one of two grants for Arumpo Road requested by the council through Infrastructure NSW’s Resources for Regions program, but its application for $35 million to seal the road was knocked back.
A report to be tabled at today’s council meeting states the council has been advised the high-priority repairs project has been shortlisted for funding, with the outcome not yet known.
