THE Mildura Ski Club (MSC) is waiting to secure a new date for the annual Ted Hurley Memorial Classic ski race to be held after recent high rainfall forced the cancellation of next month’s race.

The event was scheduled for November 12-13, however increased rainfall further upstream on the Murray River forced the club to postpone the event until early 2017.

MSC president Geoff Thomson said the club had been in contact with Ski Racing Australia (SRA) and the national body was still keen for the event to go ahead – with more to be known later this week.
