Wentworth Council general manager Peter Kozlowski says 70 people attended the council’s public meeting, which gave residents a chance to hear more about the Far West Initiative.

A LOW-COST, fairly funded, democratic governance structure was a central theme at a public meeting on the Far West Initiative (FWI) on Monday night.

The meeting, attended by 70 members of the public, was the first opportunity for Wentworth Council to brief residents since the release of the NSW Government’s Far West consultation paper at the end of August.

Mayor Melisa Hederics was delighted with the level of support shown by the community.
