CHEAP weddings are the norm, not the ­exception, with 32 per cent of people ­admitting they spent less than $5000 on their ­nuptials, according to a survey by ­ServiceSeeking.com.au.

Of 1400 people surveyed, one in five who married in the past five years managed to keep their budgets to below $5000.

A further 28 per cent married since 2010 kept costs to no more than $10,000.
