ADVENTURER and quadriplegic Dave Jacka will arrive in Mildura this weekend as he pushes through his three-month kayak journey down the length of the Murray.

Mr Jacka, who was left with quadriplegia by a motorbike crash when he was 19, began his adventure down the Murray on March 1 at the Hume Weir with the aim of finishing the paddle in May.

With just 6 per cent physical function remaining, he is confined to a wheelchair, paralysed from his armpits down, with limited arm function, no use of his fingers and unable to regulate his body temperature.
