Competition for top side

UPSIDES were upstaged by Old Skool in round nine of the Mildura Squash spring pennant.

Old Skool defeated the top side three rubbers to one, proving when it comes to finals they will be tough competition.

Nathen Takacs started well defeating a tough Adam Stephens 3-0. 

Peter Ewin had a battle against Wes Robbins winning 3-1.

Sheldon Rochester got the win over Damien Tingey 3-1.

The only highlight for Upsides was the win to fill-in Steve Pongrac 3-2 over Chris Tassone.

Crackerjacks overcame Splendours 3-1. 

James Foley was too good for fill-in Yvonne Parker winning 3-1.

Chris Stamos followed trend with a 3-0 win over Michael Bacon.

Shane Slorach got a win for Splendours over Adrian Timmermans in four games, but Paul Takacs (Crackerjacks) got the win 3-0 over Kerry Spinks (Splendours) to get the bonus points for his team.

Bits and Pieces defeated Sharks 2-1.

Fill-in Damon Healy powered past Dale Unwin to win 3-0.

Jeannette Vear dug deep to get over Scott Jaensch 3-1.

Bucking the trend was Robert Bozinovski (Sharks) defeating fill-in Graham Halliwell 3-0 to give his team’s scoreline some respect.

The top side were also knocked off their perch in division two, when Lachie and the Stars defeated Underdogs 3-1.

Fill-in Graeme Loyemyer defeated fill-in Karl Zibell 3-1. Yvonne Parker had to work hard to get the win in five games over fill-in Tyler McPhee.
