BORDER athletes Belinda Hocking and Jodi Elkington have both brought home gold from Glasgow.
Belinda Hocking, who grew up swimming in Albury and Wangaratta, set a Games record of two minutes and 7.24 seconds to win Sunday's final of the women's 200m backstroke.
She told Fairfax the experience was almost better than meeting the Queen last week.
"I think I have done quite well this week - it has been quite surreal," the six year national team veteran said.
Meanwhile, Wodonga's Jodi Elkington has won the gold medal in the women's para-sport T37/38 long jump.
Elkington, who is traditionally a sprinter, took out top place on the podium with a best leap of 4.36m.
Bethy Woodward of England was second with 4.00m and Johanna Benson of Namibia was third with 3.82m.
