A VERY successful weekend for the Mildura Ski Club with lots of excellent results for locals.
Saturday in the social morning classes ski club president Geoff Thomson driving his boat Masterforce with observer Gavin Brennecke and skiers Harvey Jenkins and Ryan Thomson, came 1st in Junior Boys Social.
Other social results included:
Jacob Hinterholzl coming 1st in Smoc Social skiing behind The Specimen, Lesley Toole skiing behind Below Zero came 2nd in F2 Social with Shaun James observing.
Lachlan Op De Coul came 1st in Under 13 Boys Social behind Teachers Pet and Ashlee Wakefield came 4th in the same class with her father Chris Wakefield doing the observing.
In the afternoon for the short course classes Hellrazor came 1st with a broken record in the James Transport Dash for Cash with Local Damien Matthews doing the observing.
Other locals Chris Baldwin with his boat Crankin' and Jack Stevens skiing came 8th out of a very competitive 30 boats in the Presidents Invitational Dash, while Chris Stevens in his boat Pigs Arsenal and Craig Harper observing and Chris' son Sean skiing came 9th in the President’s Invitational Dash. Other locals in the President’s Dash included Chelsea Blight skiing behind Reactor coming 16th and the No Dramas team who included Damien McGlynn, Greg James, Shaun James and Adrian McGlynn who ended up 25th.
In Veterans Masterforce came 3rd with Geoff Thomson driving and Mark Johnson driving Cannon came 6th in the same class. Locals John Baumgurtel and Tristan Hartley towed Tadpole (Under 10's) Boy Tate Laub to 6th spot.
On Sunday in the expert classes the locals had a field day with excellent outcomes for most teams.
In Superclass Damien Mathews observing in Hellrazor came 1st overall and took out the King of the Murray, Local boys Crankin' with Chris Baldwin driving Jeff Howard observing Jack Stevens and Jake Ellery skiing came 2nd in Under 19 Boys with a broken record. Crankin also took out Fastest Local Boat towing Jack Stevens to receive the honour of Fastest Local Skier.
The team from Pigs Arsenal with Chris Stevens driving, Craig Harper observing and Sean Stevens and Jackson Hammond skiing won Under 16 Boys and broke the the record by 47 seconds.
