At the bar: Round 14

MR: Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. I'll tell you what mate, that is much simpler to say than some of these team names in the Riverina Football League in Wagga! Try these: Collingullie-Ashmont-Kapooka, Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong, and Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes! I'm feel sorry for the commentators up there.

TP: That would be a nightmare! To make it worse, Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong have won seven of the last eight flags! Surely the engravers of the premiership would be hoping for someone else to bob-up this year and take the flag.

MR: We thought of it after reading that the Melbourne Vixens went down in the ANZ Netball Championship final to the Kiwis, their team name is Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic! I'm glad we don't have to contend with the likes of those here.

TP: They're a different breed over the ditch. After we put our necks out last week in the Sunraysia Daily to predict the top four, Mildura go and throw a spanner in the works by beating Robinvale by the barest of margins.

MR: It makes the run home much more interesting now, maybe the Demons used as motivation for the match, who knows!

TP: The battle for the top two is well and truly alive as well with Wentworth and South Mildura separated by .71%.

MR: I guess now it comes down to whoever can win by the most. Each team has to make sure their foot is well and truly on the throat of the opposition.

TP: Will probably come down to the round 16 match to decide the top two. Irymple survived a scare as well but should welcome back some of their keys to the line-up today.

MR: It's scary to think Irymple can get even stronger. Must be something in junior footy club water bottles too, so many youngsters are coming and contributing when needed.

TP: The clash at City Oval should be interesting as well today, mate. Last time Imps played Mildura they nearly stole the points.

MR: It's a bit like Collingwood and Essendon, Collingwood and Carlton, .....well Collingwood and anyone! Even Geelong and Hawthorn and Sydney and West Coast. All teams seem to get up for one particular clash, and this is the one for the City Oval rivals.

TP: The City Oval Cup. They way Imps have been playing you would think they would be a chance to lift themselves off the bottom of the ladder.

MR: Mildura have been in some handy form of their own too! They must win this match too to keep themselves in the box seat for the finals race.

TP: A win today would just about give them fourth spot with the Eagles having a tough assignment against Irymple and Merbein travelling to Wentworth.

MR: Another important round this week! And just four weeks to go after today until finals, I can't wait!
