BEN Ridley said the 80 per cent or so The Age poll voters opposing a Mildura casino were probably “Melbourne residents with a limited idea of what the Mildura Jewel would mean to the Sunraysia community” (Sunraysia Daily, September 2).
Wishful thinking!
Even if they were, aren’t they exactly the people Mr Ridley and associates say a casino would attract to Mildura as tourists?
Those Age readers are telling us, “That is wrong. You establish a casino and we’ll be taking our holidays somewhere else.”
