MILDURA’S recently invented pro-casino lobby groups, Progress Mildura and Advance Northwest, aren’t short of big money to brainwash the local public.
But their names, they are so yesterday!
Nobody calls themselves “Progress something” or “Advance whatever” these days.
Perhaps a suitable name might be the “Leeches”, or the “Vampires” or the “Parasites”, given that the purpose of a casino is to bleed white the local gambling addicts.
Everybody knows that over half the income of casinos and pokies venues come from the pockets of problem gamblers and out of the lunchboxes of their deprived children.
