DEAR Mr Harrison, thank you for your letter (Sunraysia Daily, Monday, January 23).
The State Government has committed $5 million towards the expansion of accident and emergency, midwifery and mental health at the Mildura Base Hospital and the Commonwealth has attributed an additional $2 million.
The Commonwealth has made an additional $8 million (approximate) available to construct 37 units to house specialist medical staff.
I expect when completed this will considerably enhance the hospital’s ability to meet Mildura’s health needs.
