SOUTH Mildura netballers have proved that hard work and persistence does pay off no matter what happens in this Saturday’s Sunraysia Football Netball League netball premiership play-offs.
The Bulldogs will field teams in all five netball divisions following weekend semi-final matches and are hopeful that success will come their way following a major turnaround at the club.
South Mildura netball sub-committee co-ordinator Ann Timmons yesterday said that win, lose or draw this weekend, the season’s success was just reward for an all-round team effort. South’s B Grade and Under 17 Division Two teams enjoyed success on Saturday to progress into the grand final alongside their A, C and Under 17 Division One teams.
However, Ms Timmons said only hard work and dedication had resulted in South becoming one of the strongest netball camps in the league.
“Two or three years ago South was really struggling with the netball and we hadn’t had a lot of success,” she said.
