The WHK Mildura junior Heat representatives hit the road again this weekend with a trip to Wodonga to contest the final association tournament of the season.

All sides will contest their season ending state titles over the next six weeks.

Mildura will have the most teams entered in Wodonga.

With 130 teams contesting the event, the junior Heat members will be busy against teams from Benalla, Bendigo, Castlemaine, Cootamundra, Deniliquin, Wodonga, Echuca, Kyneton, Mansfield, Myrtleford, Seymour, Shepparton, Swan Hill, Tumut and Wangaratta

Mildura Basketball Association manager Adam Tarr said he was looking forward to seeing how the Mildura teams would fair.

“I think we will be very competitive across all grades and with 20 teams competing I think we can expect many of our sides to feature in the finals come Sunday afternoon,” he said.

“With recent good results in Bendigo a fortnight ago there is definitely a positive feel among our coaches and players at the moment.”
