Three Wishez shot to fame after the popular television show, which saw them eliminated just one show short of the grand final.

The trio will perform in Mildura on February 18 at the SMGT annual Gala Ball at Club Da Vinci.

Sophia Constantopedos, from the group spoke to Sunraysia Daily about their excitement of performing in Mildura for their first interstate show.

“Life after the X-Factor has been very busy, we have been doing lots of shows in a variety of places,” 21-year-old Sophia said.

“We have been doing clubs, private functions and we recently did Megan Gale’s swimwear launch which was fun.”

The members of Three Wishez – Sophia, Frederico Ashton and Joseph Gatehau – had only formed as a group a month before auditions last year after meeting at university.

“We all attended the University of Australian Music and there were people looking to join a group to audition with,” Sophia said.

“Being in the X-Factor was the best experience of our lives. We loved performing and inspiring people with our music.

“I’d say our own inspiration comes from the Black Eyed Peas.

“The X-Factor has changed each of our lives so much.

“I was working as a receptionist, Joe was a security guard and Fred was working at Jay Jays in retail and now – well it’s a huge difference.”

The Sydney-based trio have all had their fair share of experience in music and brought their own piece of the puzzle to the group, Sophia said.

“I’ve been singing since I was very young, I was five or six years old when I found there was something there.

“I’m not sure how old Fred-day and Joe were but I know their passion for music goes back too.

“We mainly do covers and add our own something special to the song.

“We have never been to Mildura before and have not done any small regional performances yet so we are really keen to come to Mildura.

“This will actually be our first interstate performance, which we are thrilled about.

“We hope to continue performing as a group at a number of locations and grow as a band as well as do some more individual stuff.

“We want to play at more festivals also.”

Three Wishez will perform live at Club Da Vinci for the SMGT Gala Ball for the Apprentice and Trainee of the Year awards on February 18 from 6pm.
