While none of our SES members have been called upon to help out with the floods ravaging the state, they are on standby.

Incident control centre operations officer Bert Roberts said most of the help had been sourced from the south of the state.

“All of your local units are at home on standby in case we do need them,” he said.

“We probably won’t need them at this stage but we will be watching what may happen in your neck of the woods.”

While flooding continues to cause chaos for regional towns across the state, Sunraysia irrigators are set to welcome increases to their water allocations next week.
